For referring organizations and individuals

Below is a summary of all facilitated groups currently forming with spots open for new joiners.

Please remember that PNW Grief only provides grief education and peer-based support in an online group model. We do not believe this platform to be an acceptable substitute for clinical mental health services, particularly for survivors of traumatic loss.

Referrals FAQ

Where do online meetings take place?

PNW Grief uses Zoom for Healthcare, which is HIPAA compliant, has a higher encryption standard than the business version, and a lower bandwidth requirement. A case study on how it is used can be found here >

How are facilitators selected?

All approved facilitators will have the academic backgrounds, professional experience, and personal references to qualify them to create and deliver educational grief content and lead live support group sessions. Facilitators will have to apply, be accepted, complete a detailed onboarding process, and agree to an Ethics Standards Pledge prior to advertising their groups on PNWGrief.com. Facilitators found to be in violation of the Ethics Standards Pledge will not be permitted to host future groups through the PNWGrief or other affiliated regional platforms.

Is this site safe for participants?

Our team takes the safety of all participants, both group members and facilitators, very seriously. Prior to course registration all participants must complete a detailed disclosure agreement confirming their understanding and agreement with the Code of Ethics, minimum 18-years age requirement, etc. For more information, please contact us, Support@PNW.Grief.com

Who should I refer to PNWGrief.com?

Anyone grieving who is interested in a group format AND has access to technology and some degree of IT literacy. We also offer complimentary user support opportunities for people new to virtual communications. We are in process recruiting sponsors to help us provide scholarships so that cost will not be a barrier to access. While this platform will not serve to connect all people needing quality grief education and support, we do believe it will make a difference for many in our community.
