Your Grief Story

OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

The story of your loss is a story within your life, your love, and your relationship. No love is the same, no story is alike. Death does not end a relationship, it changes it.

Your Grief Story is a space for individuals to come together with empathy and support to move through loss with the power of narrative. This creative approach can help us rewire and reconnect. It guides us to experience our loss in a new way—one that supports our healing without insisting we must “get over it” or “move on.” When we are truly seen and heard, our experience of grief can shift and transform in powerful ways.

In this 6-week program, participants will learn to share their stories within the framework of a companionship model and receive evidence-based resources that cultivate healing.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
  1. Retrieve memories about your relationship, therefore the nature of your grief.

  2. Foster a deeper understanding about aspects of your grief story.

  3. Inspire new questions and thoughts that stimulate further reflection on your loss narrative.

  4. Organize your story from its many perspectives into a more cohesive whole.

  5. Explore ways your grief story continues, and how to integrate loss into your life.
